USF Team Studies Economic Competitiveness in Tampa Bay Region

“While we have done great in reducing the racial inequity in terms of the Black-white poverty gap...our position [relative to other communities] in terms of income inequality worsened.” On the upside, Tampa Bay is one of the most affordable regions to go to college. “This is great because it helps in the production of a high-caliber workforce which in turn helps in creating and attracting high paying jobs.”
