The Center is an interdisciplinary unit within the College of Social Sciences which conducts research in demography and population health and which provides graduate training in demography. Current faculty are members of the departments of economics, sociology, geography and urban & regional planning. Research projects almost always involve more than one of our core disciplines and graduate training, of necessity, exposes students to each of these disciplines as well as others, such as education, statistics and business. The Center maintains its own research library and computing facilities in support of its research and training activities.
