The Institute for Wound Research will integrate the research and clinical activities of faculty from several departments who have strong interests in wound healing. The activities of the institute for Wound Research will include interdisciplinary seminars, collaborative research grant applications, and clinical trials in animals and patients of experimental therapies for wound healing. The activities of the Institute will lead to a stronger and broader based program in wound healing which will result in additional research funds, specialized courses, and improved patient care for the residence of Florida.
