Mission: The mission of the Center for Applied Research in Child and Adolescent Development (CARCAD) is to use behavioral and social science theory and methodology and existing knowledge within the field regarding both normative and maladaptive developmental patterns to generate research and apply findings that have the potential to optimize child and adolescent development and to prevent maladaptive developmental outcomes by identifying effective assessment and intervention procedures for individual needs and enhancing important settings within which children and adolescents develop.
