| Mission: | The mission of the Institute is to encourage and enhance teaching, research, and service in dispute resolution. Teaching is carried on in a wide variety of contexts, including general skills courses in negotiation, mediation and arbitration, as well as subject-specific courses. Research is focused on dispute resolution theory and practice, including policy, ethical, implementation and empirical questions. Service activities include public policy initiatives; continuing education and training programs; systems design; and conflict resolution. |
