Mission: The Center is dedicated to the advancement of estate planning and elder law knowledge, scholarship, professionalism, skills, and policy by: (1) educating and training students and lawyers on legal and tax issues and strategies for estate planning, elderly, and diminished-capacity clients, including the special ethical rules; (2) sponsoring related institutes and symposia; (3) developing a leading-edge estate planning and elder law library and software collection; and (4) administering the certificate program in estates and trusts practice. The Center will work closely with the faculty of UF's nationally-ranked Graduate Tax Program and seek to develop a relationship with UF's Center for Gerontological Studies.
