Mission | The Archaeology Institute is dedicated to the investigation and enhancement of northwest Florida's historic and pre-Columbian archaeology on land and underwater. The important values of the region's archaeological resources are communicated by involving undergraduate and graduate students and the public in archaeological research through formal classes, public lectures, exhibits, publications, and hands-on experience. The Institute provides faculty and staff, space, vehicles, boats, equipment, and supplies for most archaeological instruction, service, and research undertakings at UWF. |
