Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) at ultra-high magnetic fields

Description: Ultra high magnetic fields provide an opportunity to expand existing MRI capabilities. Particularly ultra-high magnetic fields are favorable for low gamma nuclei where the gain in MR sensitivity is proportional to square of the magnetic field increase. The topic of the lecture will cover basics of MRI and its advances achieved at 21.1T magnet created at National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, Tallahassee.
