The mission of the Center for the Study of Values and Violence after Auschwitz is to stimulate dialogue that explores and defines issues of values and violence that influence contemporary society. Emphasizing Inter-faith dialogue and applying the contemporary lessons and legacies of the Holocaust, the Center strives to define ethical and moral guidelines that will strengthen leadership skills, facilitate communication among multi-ethnic cultures, and create greater harmony within our communities in the 21st century. The Center enhances the mission of FAU, which is to provide an enriching, comprehensive academic experience that produces well-informed, productive citizens. The Center is a member of the Council of Centers on Jewish-Christian Relations.
