Facilitates interdepartmental and intercollegiate biomedical research efforts in athletically-competitive animals. Assists faculty to develop expertise in physiology, diseases and rehabilitation of competitive animals and comparative orthopedics. Facilitates the exchange of graduate students and residents interested in the physiology, biomechanics, diseases and therapy of the athletic animal and comparative orthopedics. Through research in athletic animals, the Center provides timely information to the industry in Florida, the United States, and internationally to improve the health and welfare of sporting animals. Provide a unique state, national, and international resource with recognized expertise in veterinary sports medicine. |
