To serve as a program focal point at University of Florida for both basic ecological research on wetlands and their sustainable use in meeting environmental management and conservation needs of society. Addressing environmental problems and ecosystem restoration in Florida and assisting in technology transfer to public and private entities in Florida, as well as nationally and internationally is an expanded role for the Center.
