The mission of the Center for Biomedical and Toxicological Research and Hazardous Waste Management(CBTR) is to conduct research, provide education and training, and to assist state agencies and local governmental units in Florida in the areas of toxicology, risk assessment, environmental contamination and waste management. The CBTR is also the parent organization for the internationally-based research, and training conducted by the Institute for Cooperative Environmental Research (ICER).
