The mission of the Institute on Napoleon and the French Revolution (INFR) is to prepare students to teach and conduct research in the Revolutionary period (1774-1815) of European history and trace it's impact upon Africa, the Americas, the Middle East, etc. It is the largest and most active such center in the United States.
