The USF Diabetes Center has a primary mission of Diabetes Education and patient care. The staff provide state of the art patient care while struggling with the continuing problems that make diabetes the leading cause of blindness, kidney failure, heart failure and below the knee amputations. These issues drive basic and clinical research directed to solving these problems. This research helps develop the latest and most effective means of diabetes management, which is disseminated, to the diabetes community.
