| Mission: | The mission of the Center for Infrastructure and Constructed Facilities (CICF) is to achieve excellence in research and creative activities and will focus on ocean energy technology, offshore platforms and structures, effect of climate change on civil infrastructure systems, construction applications with emphasis on marine renewable energy development, safety & security. Interdisciplinary areas of research involving Ocean Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering will focus on analysis, design, testing and evaluation of hurricane resistant infrastructure, wave and current energy devices, asset management, remote sensing technology, safety & security of infrastructure and transportation structures, fiber reinforced polymer composites for bridges, artificial intelligence applications, smart materials and structures. |
