The Hydrogen Research & Applications Center brings UCF/FSEC together with Florida's hydrogen industry and government in activities designed to help Florida retain its position as the launch site for future space vehicles, assist in the development of environmentally acceptable transportation fuels for Florida's tourist-centered economy, develop new commercial opportunities through the patenting and licensing of university-developed ideas and develop hydrogen education curriculum and courses. The objectives of the Hydrogen Research and Applications Center are to research and develop hydrogen and related technologies that can be applied to all types of applications both space and terrestrial and to educate students on hydrogen technologies. Focus areas include hydrogen production processes, storage, sensors and systems analysis.
