iSSRT conducts and coordinates multi-disciplinary research, education, and technology transfer in all facets of homeland security technologies (hardware, software, interfaces, training). iSSRT serves as the umbrella for the Center for Robot-Assisted Search and Rescue, a field group focused more narrowly on robots, and the Safety Security Rescue Research Center, a National Science Foundation Industry/University Cooperative Research Center with the University of Minnesota.
