Apply novel approaches to identifying molecular pathways and genes that contribute to human immune deficiency diseases; interact with genetics, immunology, cancer, infectious diseases, aging, emerging pathogens, and stem cell biology to integrate research efforts across traditional disciplines; provide an infrastructure for interactions between physician, scientists and basic scientists to translate research findings to patients; enhance the focus of research in human immune deficiency diseases, particularly in children, to contribute the national reputation of the College of Medicine, Shands Children's Hospital, and The University of Florida.
