The mission of the University of Florida's Center for Pharmacometrics and Systems
Pharmacology (CPSP) in the Department of Pharmaceutics of the College of Pharmacy is to
foster the availability of safe, efficacious, and affordable drugs to patients by bridging the
knowledge gap between drug discovery and the use of drugs in clinical practice. The CPSP
provides the academic home to a multidisciplinary and integrative quantitative clinical
pharmacology program in the discipline of drug development (DD), regulatory science (RS) and
personalized (stratified) medicine with the objective of increasing success in the phase I to
beginning of phase III clinical development space and enabling the advancement of
individualization of therapy to improve the benefit/risk ratio of medicines.
