The mission of the Center for Statistics and Quantitative Infectious Diseases, University of Florida, (CSQUID-UF) is to analyze and control infectious disease transmission. Our goal is to establish a vibrant Center for statistical and mathematical ilnalysis of Infectious disease transmissio,1 and control, with a focus on vacch1es. The CSQUID will be based at the Colleges of Public HeaJth and Health Professions and Medicine, and the Emerging Pathogens Institute, University of Florida and the vaccine and Infectious Disease Division, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle. The research will involve statistical and mathematical models for infectious disease transmission, pathogenesis, evolution, Immunology, and interventions In communftles. The CSQUJD will work on influenza, dengue, Zika, Ebola, cholera, typhoid, malaria, and many other infectious disease threats. The Center wlll also deal with the analysis and control of pubHc health infectious disease threats in the State of Florida, the US, and internationally.
