The mission of the Institute for Justice, Accessibility, Inclusion Diversity, and Equity (JAIDE) is to provide institutional stakeholders the resources and knowledge necessary to conduct, disseminate, and publish meaningful research related to JAIDE locally, nationally, and globally.
The JAIDE Institute’s primary goal provide necessary support required for faculty, staff, and students to achieve their diversity related research goals and enhance UNF’s presence in state, national, and international venues.
We intend to launch our first cohort of JAIDE Institute Research Fellows beginning in the Spring semester of the 2022-2023 academic year (AY). Each Fellow will receive a stipend of up to $5,000 to support the completion of a diversity related research project and related activities. Student Research Fellows will receive up to a $1,500 stipend for the AY.
JAIDE also intends to support graduate programs on campus, with special emphasis on doctoral programs with required dissertation research. JAIDE is interested in helping fund:
- Conference travel for doctoral students
- Funding for transcription services
- Other needs related to completing a dissertation
- Support for post-doc hires
