| Mission |
The Institute for Building Sciences (IBS) is the coordinator of all research and service activity conducted in the School of Architecture + Engineering Technology. Its purpose is to foster and coordinate projects that improve the built environment and the lives of residents. Projects address issues of community planning and economic development; historic preservation; building codes and standards; and building design, construction, maintenance, and operations. The Institute involves faculty, students, and outside professionals in these activities.
