Mission |
The Institute for the Study of Emotion (ISE) will organize and vigorously advance broadly interdisciplinary research on emotion, mount curricular initiatives grounded in that research agenda, disseminate its research findings, and establish itself as a community resource. The Institute will serve as a platform for scholarly collaboration in the investigation of emotion as it is represented in social, religious, political, medical, commercial, and legal arenas, with particular regard to fostering analytical strategies that bridge the sciences and humanities. |
