Florida Sea Grant's mission is to enhance the practical use and conservation of coastal and marine resources to create a sustainable economy and environment. Florida Sea Grant operates through a statewide university-based faculty and student research, education and extension partnership of state and federal agencies, businesses and citizens. Florida Sea Grant is one of the 32 state-based programs that form the National Sea Grant College Program as created by federal legislation.
