An introduction of key building science knowledge highlighting recent research of measured wind washing impacts in two-story homes. Air leakage impacts in small commercial buildings are also discussed using a case study of a restaurant. The importance of specifying and testing building tightness as well as importance that operations and maintenance play in avoiding uncontrolled air flow problems is stressed using specific examples.
