| Mission | The mission of the Center for Rare and Genetic Neurological Diseases is to coordinate and provide support to the vast array of existing and emerging expertise and resources working to combat rare and genetic neurological diseases. This includes the specific goals of: (1) supporting education programs for the public and physicians to increase their awareness about genetic diseases and the need for and availability of testing for many disorders; (2) supporting research designed to improve genetic testing and to discover ways to treat, cure and ultimately prevent genetic disorders; and (3) supporting a graduate student or postdoc in the areas of medical genetics and counseling. |
