| Mission |
The Institute supports multi-disciplinary teams of faculty from FIU to investigate and implement effective methodologies to increase the success of students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields, as well as to benefit all university students taking science and mathematics courses as part of the university core curriculum. The evaluative research of the Institute forms the basis for (a) more effective programs to increase the pipeline of students, and (b) strong curricular implantation. The institute also supports an iSTEM clearinghouse that publicizes all STEM related activities at FIU via a website. |
