The Wilder Center for Epilepsy Reserch is being established primarily to promote basic and clinical research in the neurological disorder of epilepsy across the age continuum.
The Center will advance basic and clinical reserch and/or faculty, junior faculty and post-doctoral fellows who can devote major eforts to epilepsy research without burdening clinical responsibilities.
The long term goal of the Center is to provide for interactions among basic and clinical scientists which will lead to a better understanding of the mechanisms underlying epilepsy in children and adults and the discovery of implementations of new treatment strategies for this common neurological disorder.
