Biography
Ashok Srinivasan is the William Nystul Eminent Scholar Chair and Professor of Computer Science at the University of West Florida. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 1996 and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Subsequently, he held faculty positions at IIT Bombay, UCSB, and Florida State University. He has served as a Fulbright Senior Research Scholar and as a Program Director at the National Science Foundation. His research focuses on supercomputing for public health policy, high-performance computing, numerical methods, and scientific software. Dr. Srinivasan’s work has been supported by the National Science Foundation, Department of Energy, and Department of Defense. He has received multiple Best Paper and Best Poster awards at international conferences.
