Biography
Kevin Cox, Ph.D. currently serves as the Director for the Adams Center for Entrepreneurship at FAU, Senior Instructor of Entrepreneurship, Lead Instructor for the new venture accelerator at FAU’s Tech Runway, instructor for FAU’s entrepreneurship bootcamp, and manager/instructor for FAU’s Veterans Florida Entrepreneurship Program, and as a DoR Research Associate. He completed his Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship from Florida Atlantic University’s College of Business. Prior to pursuing his Ph.D., Kevin received his degree in Management, with minor in Entrepreneurship as well as a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship from the University of Florida. To date, Kevin has taught, mentored, and worked with more than 500 startups providing expert advice and consultation supporting the survival, growth, and performance of these early-stage businesses. He has also published two entrepreneurship training books and associated educational programs, The New Venture Launchpad 2.0, & The Fine Art of New Venture Funding. He is also the author of more than 20 articles published in refereed journal outlets all in the field of entrepreneurship. His work has been featured in several very high-quality outlets including Journal of Business Research, Entrepreneurship Education and Pedagogy, Journal of Social Entrepreneurship, and International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behavior & Research along with many research papers and book chapters, as well as dozens of conference papers on entrepreneurship focused on new venture creation, new venture finance and social entrepreneurship.
