Dr. Mohamed Khalafalla Ahmed is an Assistant Professor at the School of Architecture and Engineering Technology at Florida A&M University (FAMU), with expertise in civil engineering, construction management, clean energy, and regulatory policy. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, an MBA, a Master of Science in Law, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Mohamed's research focuses on sustainable construction, energy efficiency, and decarbonization. He has secured significant federal funding for projects in transportation, clean energy, and climate resilience, leveraging his legal expertise. As a strong proponent of STEM education, he has also obtained multiple grants to support student learning and engagement in these fields. Mohamed is dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary research, fostering student mentorship, and promoting impactful educational initiatives.
