Description: | I will provide a general introduction to exosomes/extracellular vesicles and their emerging role in intercellular communicaiton. Their role in helathy tissues and pathological states including cancer will be described. Then I will discuss our own findings in how exosomes derived from osteoclasts appear to be involved in maintaining healthy bone. Finally, I will discuss strategies for using exosomes for the treatment of bone disease. |
