Pinilla-Alonso to Use James Webb Space Telescope for Research

Noemi Pinilla-Alonso of UCF is monitoring the movement of the James Webb Space Telescope. Once the telescope reaches its destination 900,000 miles from Earth, Pinilla-Alonso will be one of only a few hundred scientists that will get to use the telescope for space research.

“To come to this point, the most brilliant minds, engineers, physicists, programmers, astronomers have teamed up for decades to design, build, and test all the systems to work towards one only goal, which is to have the most advanced telescope in space,” said Pinilla-Alonso.
