Brian Peach of UCF is studying complications related to COVID-19 and intensive care unit survivors to establish better long-term outcomes. The research will compare the experiences of many patients to learn how to improve recovery.

“They have anxiety, they have depression, they have post-traumatic stress disorder, they have sleep disturbances. I find that very concerning. Not just to get people over the difficult, challenging period that they’re in, being acutely ill, but ultimately we want to see them do better,” Peach said.
