UF Joins Study of Adult Congenital Heart Disease

Arwa Saidi will serve as the UF Health site principal investigator for a national study that will examine how gaps in health care affect the health and well-being of adults with congenital heart disease. The study will analyze health records for 66 million patients.

“Many adult CHD patients see a cardiologist only after developing symptoms or complications from their cardiac condition,” Saidi said. The research will guide further studies and inform treatment approaches for congenital heart disease going forward.
