Bolstering Resilience and Cybersecurity of Critical Infrastructure

A team at FIU has received a $1 million grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to use machine learning and AI to develop novel solutions for critical infrastructure resilience. The grant also focuses on bolstering cybersecurity to combat hackers that can threaten critical infrastructure.

“With the power of AI, our interdisciplinary team is going to explore how we can equip these systems with autonomous resilience," says researcher M. Hadi Amini. In addition to supporting research, the grant will support the establishment of the Advanced Education and Research for Machine Learning-driven Critical Infrastructure Resilience (ADMIRE) Center.
