International optics leader ficonTEC, expert in the production of photonic components, has opened an application lab in UCF’s College of Optics and Photonics. Dave Hagan notes that the partnership will allow students to translate their ideas into tangible prototypes and open doors for industry growth.
“This partnership brings a new dimension to CREOL’s established photonics R&D groups and in the United States as a whole,” said Hagan. “It provides UCF students an unmatched opportunity to learn the techniques of photonics integration.”
