The USF College of Public Health has been selected as one of 25 recipients of the Connecting Kids to Coverage Outreach and Enrollment Cooperative Agreement Program. USF’s grant will support comprehensive outreach efforts across Florida. The initiative is funded by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and aims to help families enroll in Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program (Florida KidCare).
USF plans to leverage the grant to implement innovative strategies tailored to the needs of families and communities throughout the state, while focusing on maximizing enrollment and retention in Medicaid and CHIP. “Our focus isn’t just about connecting families to care, we also make sure they have access to health care and support them in navigating the system that can be overwhelming and confusing,” says Xonjenese Jacobs, director of Florida Connecting Kids to Coverage.
