Virtual Program to Build Resilience in Healthcare Workers

Magdalena Pasarica of UCF has received $1.5 million from the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration to develop a virtual program aimed at preventing burnout, suicide, mental health conditions, and substance-use disorders in healthcare workers. The program also assists in building personal resilience.

“As healthcare providers, we know the risks… and we embrace them,” said Pasarica. “But the past two years have been different. We’ve faced a worldwide pandemic… All of that has an impact on current providers and the providers we are training. We want to create evidence-based services that people can use to build resilience.”
