UCF's renowned researcher Issa Batarseh is an expert in power electronics and solar energy conversion. He is an inventor on 36 patents and has significant commercialization experience as a founder of two start-up companies involved in solar energy conversion. He is also a fellow member in National Academy of Inventors.
