The vision of CREOL (Center for Research and Education in Optics and Lasers) is to be the nation's leader in education, research, and scholarship in optical and photonic science and engineering. Our mission is to: 1) provide the highest quality undergraduate & graduate education in optical and photonic science and engineering, serve the continuing education needs of industry, and enhance optics education at all levels; 2) create and disseminate new knowledge and innovations in optics and photonics by conducting, presenting, and publishing cutting-edge fundamental and applied research; 3) aid in the development of Florida and the nation’s knowledge-based and technology- based industries, and create, foster, and sustain mutually beneficial research partnerships with industry.
