Brittany Bruggeman, MD is a pediatric endocrinologist and physician scientist at the University of Florida and has been involved in type 1 diabetes research pursuits for the past 15 years. She was the inaugural 2018 McJunkin Family Type 1 Diabetes Fellow and has received foundational and NIH grant funding, including an NIDDK K23 Career Development Award, to investigate pathophysiology and prediction from a whole-pancreas perspective in pre-symptomatic type 1 diabetes and improve clinical care for type 1 diabetes patients. She is an advocate for her patients and is a leader in policy within the American Academy of Pediatrics and American Diabetes Association.
