Mission | The Comprehensive Center for Pain Research (CCPR) is an internationally recognized leader in innovative training, basic and clinical research, and commitment to translation of research to clinical application. The CCPR is a coalition of research scientists and clinicians whose mission is to increase the knowledge about pain and mechanisms of pain. The mission of the CCPR is centered on four specific objectives, including Education, Training, Research and Service. The CCPR serves people in pain by: (a) promoting novel research related to acute and chronic pain; (b) educating health professionals to improve pain management; (c) promoting new research initiatives with federal and non-federal agencies; and (d) developing relationships with private companies and federal agencies focused on pain management, education, and research. |
