| Mission | The Institute for Child Health Policy brings together faculty from the University, the State, and nationally to conduct innovative science to promote the health of children, adolescents, and young adults. We particularly focus on addressing disparities in health outcomes for minority and underserved youth, including children with special health care needs. Our goals include: 1) Development and evaluation of community-wide programs to promote child/adolescent health; 2) Multidisciplinary research on health care financing and delivery systems, quality, and outcomes of care; 3) Evaluation research on public programs and policies; 4) Training of students and new scientists; 5) Leadership in interpreting and disseminating research results to policymakers; and 6) Collaboration with state and federal agencies, and communities in research and policy change. |
